Many people are hesitant to discuss their spiritual beliefs and traditions because they speak to the very core of who we believe ourselves to be and how we have created our lives based on those beliefs. Since healing on the spiritual level is crucial to the healing of the entire person, when one struggles on this deep level of their being it is important to address these concerns. While honoring everyone's faith traditions, I am happy to offer the path of peace I have found with love and respect for my client's beliefs..
Sacred Spiritual Healing
As a Licensed Spiritual Healer and Traditional Naturopath, "I believe that all healing is sacred and spiritual. As a matter of reference, I was trained as a child in Christian tradition. While honoring my roots, I choose to honor all faiths because I believe that one's faith is sacred and personal. Based on my experience and intuitive insights, all healing is of a spiritual nature. Underlying every physical ailment or state of dis-ease, there is an emotional issue; under every emotional issue there is a mental block; under every mental block there there is a spiritual disconnection. As one resolves these underlying issues, he or she can heal on every level of their being."
My personal life experience has brought me to the knowledge and understanding that the most important underlying issue in healing our whole self is to love and honor one's Self. This is not to be confused with being "selfish." Loving and honoring ones' Self has to do with understanding and believing that he or she is a worthy and valuable individual because of having been created with a spark of the Divine within. (I use the words "Divine and God" because there are universally accepted, however I respect whatever resonates with you such as Source, Source Energy, the One, etc. from your own faith traditions.) We are created in God's likeness and image. In the Old Testament book of Genesis, Chapter 1:27, "...God created man in His own image; in the image of God he created him; male and female He created them." (NKJV) That makes us a worthy part of the Divine itself. On the other hand, selfishness as defined by Webster's Dictionary is ..." (being) too much concerned with one's own welfare or interests and having little or no concern for others..." There is a big difference!
We will usually obtain a good measure of healing when using herbs or energy healing or any number of healing modalities. However, the magnitude of healing capacity within us or our innate wisdom is unleashed when we love, respect and honor ourselves. If we treat ourselves poorly with self deprecating thoughts, words and actions, we undermine our ability to heal. Negative thinking or being a person who sees the glass as half empty actually creates a cascade of hormones in our physical body that creates inflammation and the eventual breakdown of tissues and organs. Loving our Self turbo charges our healing capacity!
The second most important principle in healing our whole being is to understand we can never give successfully when we are mentally, emotionally and spiritually empty. It is not possible to give from an empty vessel because there is nothing to give. Yet, many of us give without replenishing ourselves and often end up sick and tired. We drive ourselves until we drop in exhaustion. It is important to learn how to recharge and nurture ourselves before we can be effective givers.
Imagine a beautiful ceramic pitcher overflowing with crystal clear water. When the vessel overflows we have something to give one another. The water in the pitcher is meant for the nurturing of ourselves. We must be full of our own spiritual connection (whatever you believe that to be) in order to have something to give to others. Then, and only then, do we have something to offer to each other and to the world. In the New Testament book of Matthew, as Jesus was teaching, we are told that the first commandment is to "love the Lord your God with all your heart." Loving God with all your heart means that you must love and honor God within you. That means loving and honoring yourSelf. Matthew, Chapter 22:39 says, "...You shall love your neighbor as your self." We cannot love our neighbor or the world if we do not love our Self first! It's as plain and simple as that. Unfortunately, most of us have problems with loving ourselves for many different reasons. This creates the spiritual disconnection in our hearts and minds because in truth we are never separate from our loving Creator. It may have to do with how we were brought up or it may be that we are carrying issues of shame and guilt. If we choose to heal ourselves of these false beliefs, there are many ways to do so.
I use a combination of natural healing principles like Meditation, Reiki, and Energy Balancing coupled with Prayer to assist my clients who choose to resolve these issues. Since we are beings of energetic frequencies, when these vibrational frequencies become balanced again, one can resume to function as he or she was created to. This includes and facilitates healing on the spiritual level.
